DIGITAL JAMMING

by Sheridan Solo Project

supported by
Michael Sheridan
Michael Sheridan thumbnail
Michael Sheridan Extreme noiz, shred & improv over CD jamming. Duo's with Jon Rose (vln.) & Jim Denley (alt sax). A requiem for Jamie Fielding co-composed with Brooke Shelley. I toured this LP with Mike Patton & Masami Akita (Maldoror) in 1997. My ears bled. Favorite track: R.I.P. J.F. 60 - 93.

about

1996 Digital glitch, noiz & shred, sonic recycling, improv.

Random fast forward / rewind some of my fav CD's, scrambled, ramped up through a good analogue desk producing the faux rhythm section, inspiring guitar improv, bouncing saturated sounds off against clean. My jazz.

Duets with master improvisers Jon Rose - violin. & Jim Denley - alto sax.

A collaboration with composer Brooke Shelley's choral digital pastiche titled R.I.P J.F. 60 - 93, A requiem for a dear friend, Jamie Fielding.

These 10 tracks are a 'best of' selected from the original 16 track CD. I do have hard copies available. If your interested please email me at zentithwarecords@gmail.com

about

Sheridan Solo Project Sydney, Australia

The initial experience of seeing/hearing free improvisation in the early '80's was mind blowing. Jon Rose & Jim Denley, master improvisers honoured the invitation to come & record with me for this album.

Not working with a traditional or mechanical rhythm section and using electronics as a medium was refreshing.

Having the access to a well equipped studio was a new & welcome experience.
